I checked the vehicle owners manual for the 2013 Chevy Captiva and could not find anything else that would lead to the battery draining. The fuse you are pulling is the right one and if the key is in the correct accessory position then nothing else should be lit up. Make sure that everything is off including the radio and the heat/AC.

It sounds as if the converter box has suffered an internal short which is allowing power from the battery feed to illuminate the left turn/brake light circuit for the trailer. This is caused by a short circuit in the trailer wiring.
